First project in the new craft room. This is from Paper Wishes Craft in a Box

Almost done with the switch. I found some curtains I wold love to have online at JCPenny. Once I get back to work I hope to get them.

The craft room is primed and painted. Now to get socket covers and move all this in to there!

Should be able to put my craft stuff into the new room tomorrow.

Day 1 of remolding a bedroom into my craft room I also got a new kit from Paper Wishes. The first picture is how it came and the second is after working on it between priming the craft room.

As One Leaves the Others Move Up

My youngest has only 4 more years with us. Can't believe he is going into high school. Since my oldest boy moved out we (my daughter) painted his room and move my youngest into the "good" room. We decided since there is so much room hopping lately we would go with a color I wanted instead of what they like. The rooms have been painted so many times I thin the rooms are actually smaller now. FYI don't let your 21 month old play with marbles to keep him busy while you move everyone around. We are still finding them. At least we aren't finding them in his diapers.

The New Beginning.

This is the first step in to this becoming more of a crafters blog. We have been doing the room shuffle at our house as we are going threw the process of emptying our nest. My oldest boy has moved out. My second oldest will be going back to collage in a few weeks. We let the our youngest have the big room and I will now have a craft room.

Summer Break

Tomorrow is the first Monday off. I really hate the thought of not going to work tomorrow. I call it Summer Break cause there doesn't seam to be much vacation it it. Vacation to me is getting to go some where, anywhere. In vacations before we have been able to go to Texas to see family. Visit places on the way such as Disney Land, Marine World, and Great America. Gave my husband a bit of a shock when I told him I want to go camping. We have never been before. It will be just the two of use so we wont look like a fool in front of our kids at least. We might be able to go to the coast if we get like a uric (if that is what they are called) we might be able to afford it. It would be great to see our grandson at the beach.

Celbration of Life Service

For a young friend tomorrow. So sad. Trying to convince myself I can go.

Cars

You can't live without then, specially in a small town. Guess I should be thankful that at least one car between the 7+ of us is running at a time. It would be nice if Samantha's car would stay running. If Stephan's car would quite tweaking as he calls it. If Sarah was able to keep her car and if Michael could get his running truck insured and off my yard. That doesn't even count the Grandpa car we have, the suburban that isn't running, my husbands truck that needs work and an extra Honda of Stephan's just for fun. Course it needs work too. Why oh why don't I have a mechanic in the family?

Spring

It's almost Summer and we finally get Spring weather. I have the windows open and can hear kids playing out side. What was that? A bird! I love Spring. So why do I live where it snows nine months out of the year?

49 continues.

Before I left work today my husband brings in a package for me. Knowing it was coming sooner or later I couldn't wait to open it at home. The anticipation of the beautiful boxes was almost worth the gift. I get the second box open and wrapped around a little black roll pillow is a gorgeous diamond dangle bracelet. Thank you so much Mom. I love it and will always cherish it.

Birthday

49
Celebrating my 49th birthday wasn't easy, and it wasn't the turning 49 part that was hard. It was getting everyone together at the same time. My husband took the day off, but of course everyone couldn't do that. I was picked up from work at 2:15 ish by my husband Ross , daughter Sarah, grand baby and a long time friend of my daughters Michael. Samantha came around 7:00. Than we waited and waited and waited for 2 of my boys to get home from church. We (ok, I) decided to go a head and open gifts. I knew that Stephen hadn't picked up a gift for me yet and he had sprung for dinner so I figured what the harm. Stephen doesn't know how to say no to anyone but mom. He was still dropping off kids after 9:00. When they finally came home we had cake. A huge wonderful Chocolate of all chocolate cakes.

I have wanted a blog for a while now. Lets see how this is going to turn out.
